Each year, BCIT offers open education grants, with project creations shared in the Open Education Collection of BCIT’s Institutional Repository. Open education projects are usually licensed Creative Commons.
With the BCcampus institutional grant and BCIT’s matching funding, we were able to award $25,500 in Zero Textbook Cost Grants in 2025/2026. These grants were given to BCIT faculty members with a plan to create the needed materials to make a course or program Zero Textbook Cost. By investing in these projects, we hope to save all these future students the expense of textbooks.
